This idea, imagined by David and with his former Harvard students Rachel Fields and Amy Yin, the MIT electrical engineer Eyal Shahar, the designer Baptiste Viala, and the team at Le Laboratoire, allows you to send olfactory messages instantaneously around the world. With Ryan Spinoglio of Toby’s Estate in Sydney Australia, and Olivier Pescheux, master perfumer at Givaudan in Paris, the hope is to first explore how Ophone can help us unlock the vaporous mysteries of coffee. This idea began in a classroom at Harvard University, with the backing of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard and continued support by the Wyss Institute of Biological Engineering.
